Greetings from India 🇮🇳! From Columbus to Washington to Beijing to Delhi, three flights, 24 hours in the air, and two days later, we made it! We all made the journey safely... and with all of our luggage! Stepping off of the plane in Delhi at 2am in the morning, into a world of unknowns and questions, we are ready to explore, meet new people, and learn about public health in India.

Walking out of the airport, we could see the smog. Everything was difficult for me to see. I thought my glasses were dirty but realized it was the smoke. Driving (or rather being a passenger) was quite the experience. People were driving on the wrong side of the road, completely disregarding traffic signs, lights, or lines. We were happy to have made it safely to our apartment where we will stay for the next two weeks.

After getting acquainted with the area, we settled it our room to rest up for the next adventure!

Knowledge passed down to us from previous students:

1. Traffic is scary.

2. Air and noise pollution are bad. Wear a mask if you have one.

3. Don’t drink the tap water.

4. There are a lot of cows and dogs - do not touch them.

5. When you want to cross the street, commit to it. Hold up your hand if you need to.
